Focus Board is a productivity app that lets users sign in with Google, start focus sessions, receive timer notifications, and optionally lock the device at the start of a session if the user enables Android Device Admin access.
Information the App Uses
If you choose to sign in with Google, the app may access your basic Google profile information such as your name and email address to personalize the app experience.
The app stores focus timer details, active session timing, and reward points locally on your device using Android app storage.
How Information Is Used
- Your Google profile name and email are used to show a personalized welcome inside the app.
- Session timing data is used to run your focus timer and determine when a session has completed.
- Reward point data is used to show your earned progress inside the app.
- Notification and exact alarm features are used to alert you when a focus session ends.
- Optional Device Admin access is used only to lock the device immediately after a focus session starts.
Permissions and Device Features
- Internet: used for Google Sign-In and related Google Play Services communication.
- Notifications: used to show focus timer alarms and alerts.
- Exact alarms: used so timer completion alerts can fire at the correct time.
- Foreground service: used while an active alarm is ringing.
- Full-screen intent: used to present the alarm screen when a focus session ends.
- Device Admin (optional): used only if you enable it so the app can lock the phone when a session starts.
Sharing and Third Parties
The app does not sell your personal information. The app does not use third-party advertising SDKs. If you use Google Sign-In, Google may process information according to Google's Privacy Policy.
Other than services required for Google Sign-In, the app is not intended to transmit your focus session data to the developer's own servers.
Data Retention and Control
- Focus timer and reward data remain on your device unless removed by uninstalling the app or clearing app data.
- You can sign out of Google from inside the app at any time.
- You can revoke optional Device Admin access through your Android device settings.
- You can disable notifications or exact alarm access from your Android device settings, though this may affect app functionality.
Children's Privacy
The app is not specifically directed to children. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information through the app may contact the developer using the email address below.
